Progression

If you've done a 14-16 course with us, you'll be in a great place to move on to other courses. You'll know the College, the tutors and your subject area so you'll have a head start. Plus, we'll fast track your application if you want to move on to another course with us!

Level 2 Courses

Most 14-16 courses are at Level 1, a step below GCSEs, so after finishing them you can move on to a Level 2 qualification. Choose from a range of vocational options including Level 2 BTEC Diplomas (formerly First Diplomas), Apprenticeships and NVQs.

Level 3 Courses

Some of our 14-16 courses are at Level 2, the same level as GCSEs, so after finishing them and/or your GCSEs you can move on to a Level 3 qualification. You could take a vocational course - a Level 3 BTEC Diploma (formerly National Diploma), NVQ or Advanced Apprenticeship. Alternatively you could do A Levels, which will allow you to follow a broad based programme of study in three or four subjects. Both options will gain you UCAS points for university or skills for your career.
