Why Study Here This brand new course is ideal for anyone interested in a range of environmental, natural or earth sciences. It is a skills-based course, where students will be involved in real world situations, using up-to-date techniques in a range of subjects. Tution is delivered by expert staff with relevant industry experience. Merrist Wood College is a 400 acre campus including woodlands, wetlands and grasslands, making it the ideal outdoor classroom to study in.

Entry Requirements A range of GCSEs (4 or more) at grades A-C* or equivalent, to include English Language, Maths, IT and a Science.

- Work experience in the environmental sector
Delivery Method This course is delivered through classroom based activities and practical assessments.
Assessment A non-exam course which is assessed continually through assignments,
presentations and the completion of portfolios.
Progression You could move on to the Applied Ecology and Countryside Management Foundation Degree or other related Degree course or employment.
All students aged 19 years or over on 1 September in the first year of their course are expected to pay tuition, registration, exam fees and all other course related costs. Some assistance with these costs may be available depending on your circumstances and the latest government funding position. There are normally no tuition, registration or examination fees to pay if you are aged 16-18 on 1 September in the first year of your course and are a British or European Union resident. This does not apply to HNCs/Ds, Foundation Degrees, Degrees or courses that do not attract government funding.
