What is a Centre of Vocational Excellence?

Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) provide outstanding education and training in a particular area. Guildford College was the first in the South of England to be awarded this status in Travel and Tourism. We offer specialist full and part-time courses to those wishing to embark upon a career in the industry and those already working in the sector wanting to upgrade their skills.

Our excellent links with local and national employers ensure that our range of qualifications match the needs of business and the economy. Courses are vocationally focused and industry-specific, enabling you to develop the skills and knowledge you need to work in today’s tourist market. In the travel industry this extends to business and leisure travel agencies, tour operators and airlines. In the tourism industry it incorporates domestic and overseas tourism, tourism management, responsible tourism and visitor attractions.

Hospitality, Travel and Tourism Introductory Diploma and Certificate City and Guilds Travel and Tourism First Diploma City and Guilds

Moving on:

Travel Industry Studies
Travel and Tourism National Certificate
Travel and Tourism National Diploma
Travel and Tourism City and Guilds Level 3 Award

Higher level:

International Travel and Tourism Operations Management Foundation Degree

Industry specific:

Air Cabin Crew Level 2
Air Fares and Ticketing Virgin/GBTA Levels 1 and 2
Galileo Computer Reservations Systems Level 2
