Dog Walking Level 2 Certificate
This four week course, starting on Friday 2 March, offers you an introduction to dog handling and the legislation around dog walking. You will gain the practical skills and knowledge that are important for working as a competent dog walker, and you could also progress to further learning and training in this area.
Pet Sitting Level 2 Certificate
This four week course, starting on Friday 20 April, is ideal for those looking for a career within the animal care industry. You will gain the practical skills and knowledge that are important for working as a pet sitter for a wide range of animals, including cats, dogs, rabbits and guinea pigs, through to exotics, pigs, chickens, sheep or goats.
Small Scale Farming - Module 2
This ten week course, starting on Monday 16 April, will teach you the theory and practical elements of lambing and flock management, including shearing. You will also gain support on pasture management, planning, tractors and machinery.
We offer a number of Dog Grooming qualifications, starting at beginners level.
Springtime Floral Design
This one day practical workshop, on Saturday 3 March, is designed to beat those 'winter blues'. You will learn how to make a floral display using predominantly spring floral materials.
Introduction to Summer Floral Art
This ten week course, starting on Thursday 19 April, will provide you with an understanding of the "Principals and Elements of Design" as applied to Floral Art. A range of designs for the home, gifts and floral decoration will be created in both traditional and contemporary styles.
Summer Floral Designs
This five week course, starting on Tuesday 24 April, will show you how to produce designs for special occasions using summer flowers and foliages, and a range of containers.
This one day practical workshop, on Saturday 12 May, will provide you with the skills needed to create designs for the mother of the bride and bridesmaids.
Horticulture & Garden Design
Know Your Garden Soil
This one day short course, on Saturday 10 March, will give you some hands-on experience in assessing the main qualities of garden soil and evaluating the options to maximise plant health and growth. Bring along a bag of soil from your own garden and go home with some valuable starting points for improving your displays and crops.
Plant Knowledge and Identification
This ten week course, starting on Wednesday 18 April, will introduce you to plant history and origin, plant identification, the correct use and settings for plants, and companion planting.
Design Your Own Garden
This ten week course, starting on Thursday 19 April, provides an introduction to garden design. You will look at a range of garden styles and survey your own garden, then use your knowledge to create a new design plan for your garden.
Lawn Care and Repair
This one day short course, on Saturday 28 April, will provide you with practical instruction from a turf expert to help you feed, mow and topdress your lawn, with guidance on how to sow and turf a new lawn or renovate an old one.
Make Your Own Summer Planter or Hanging Basket
This one day short course, on Saturday 28 April, will help you to save money and personalise your garden by creating your own summer planter or hanging baskets.
