Students Raise Money for Comic Relief

Student wins 'Best Prize' on the Lucky Dip

Guildford College and Merrist Wood College students recently raised over £200 for Comic Relief with a number of fundraising activities held at the Colleges.

Activities at Guildford College were organised by staff from the College’s Additional Learning Support, Learning Support and Carpentry departments. Approximately £75 was raised from the sale of candy floss, popcorn and sweets on the day, and fun fair games including Splat the Rat, Pin the Nose, Hook the Dock, Bounce the Ball and a Lucky Dip Prize Draw.

At Merrist Wood College the activities were organised by Additional Learning Support staff and students. The activities included a sweet shop and lunch time rave with DJ Thomas Carmona, who is currently studying Countryside Management at the College. Staff and students raised approximately £130 throughout the day.

Well done all!
