Travel & Transport

We are currently investigating new transport opportunities for students of Merrist Wood College.

We are looking into the possibility of providing a daily bus service to and from Merrist Wood College, available to students of any age and level.

If this is something you are interested in, please click here.

Merrist Wood College tries to encourage students to use alternative modes of transport. By doing this we are aiming to reduce the amount of traffic as well as promoting a healthy lifestyle and living environment.

By Car

At Merrist Wood College, the car park is located at the back of the Harris Centre. Motor bike spaces and cycle racks are also provided. In order for students to park on the campus, you must register your car details with Student Services.

Please note that there is no vehicle access to the College from Coombe Lane and there is strictly no parking in this road. You must access the College via Holly Lane.

By Bike

We have 3 new covered cycle shelters, one in the machinery car park, one in student overflow car park behind Harris Centre and one behind Merrist Wood House. Motorbike spaces are also available at the College.

By Bus

There is a bus service from Guildford Friary Bus Station in Woodbridge Road to Fairlands Estate which is a short walk away from the College. Buses run to the Guildford Friary Bus Station from all local areas.
